What Is A RPG?

As the name RPG  (role playing game) implies, a role-playing game is a game. It is played with dice like any other boardgame, but there are many differences between classical boardgames and RPGs. In a RPG each player plays the role of a fictional character, that acts in an adventure, that is similar to a kind of movie. The players have to fullfill quest, that are given to them by a gamemaster. I do not want to give a full definition of RPG here, because HYPeR is not a introductonary-level RPG.
